Sunway University Accounting programme is offered under the business school of Sunway University. Below are the two options one can consider in applying for an accounting course in Sunway University

DIPLOMA IN PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING (N/344/4/0227)

Diploma in Professional Accounting programme is the first step towards being a professional accountant.
The Sunway University Accounting diploma programme is practical yet comprehensive, is designed to meet the need for training in fundamental business practices with an emphasis on general accounting and finance principles. In addition, graduates will be able to communicate effectively with other management professionals and business stakeholders simulating real life issues in accounting and finance operations, marketing, people and organisations.
The programme syllabus is mapped closely to ACCA and ICAEW syllabus. Both professional awarding bodies grant up to 6 papers exemptions to the Diploma graduates on progression to Professional level qualifications offered by Sunway TES Centre for Accountancy Excellence.
Besides professional qualifications, the programme offers progression to other accounting and finance or business related degrees programmes in Sunway University or the Bachelor of Business with Victoria University with paper exemptions.
Additional pathways for students to study at University of Essex in United Kingdom as well as Nottingham University Malaysia have also been established.
The programme is delivered in English, on a full time basis. Examination papers are moderated by other faculties in ensuring assessments standards and assignments are maintained at a standard to local or overseas higher educational institution and requirement of workforce in accounting professions.
All subjects has a balanced continuous assessment of 40% on the Coursework and 60% on the final examination. The Coursework covering quizzes, assignments and a mid-term test is expected to be completed and passed to be eligible to sit the semester’s final examination.
Students have the opportunity to go on study trips as part of their practical exposure and insights to the real working environment during their course of study.

Sunway University Diploma in Business Administration graduates may enrol into Year 2 of the BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance, subject to meeting entry requirements.
