New Era University College Of Education, New Era University College Of Education aims at providing professional training for teachers to serve in Chinese independent schools. NEU offers a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), a Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) and a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (BECE)

Institutional Intended Learning Outcomes

By the time of graduation, CED students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate competency in facilitating learning by applying international standards of quality and excellence;
  2. Exemplify high ethical standards, sense of commitment, and professionalism imbued with Christian values across all settings;
  3. Engage in professional development activities to continuously upgrade one’s competencies;
  4. Produce functional and quality research outputs beneficial to the country and humanity;  and
  5. Design community extension   programs responsive to the needs of the members of society and other stakeholders.


Program Intended Learning Outcomes

By the time of graduation, CED students will be able to:

  1. Acquire national and international license/recognition for teacher related discipline;
  2. Manifest morally upright conduct with strong work ethics.
  3. Strengthen professional growth by continuously upgrading educational and  experiential competence;
  4. Conduct research for the benefit of the community and stakeholders;
  5. Exhibit love for humanity by performing community extension services responsive to the needs of the stakeholders;
  6. Apply higher order thinking skills in problem solving and decision making;
  7. Tap and enhance the creativity and multiple intelligences of the learners;
  8. Apply various methods and approaches which utilize ICT for effective delivery system and assessment strategies;
  9. Create instructional materials and resources that would cater to the varying needs of the learners;
  10. Facilitate  the  development  of learners’  meta-cognitive  skills;
  11. Propel students to be self- motivated in mastering literacy and numeracy;
  12. Demonstrate proficiency in facilitating  learning  through  multilingual modes of          communication;  and
  13. Guide learners to realize their career track relative to their utmost potentials.
  14. Facilitate learning among diverse learners and relate educational processes to larger historical, social, cultural and political processes.
