Universiti Teknologi Mara Jalan Othman
Universiti Teknologi Mara Jalan Othman, Petaling Jaya (commonly called “PJ” by locals) is a major Malaysian city originally developed as a satellite township for Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the Petaling District of Selangor with an area of approximately 97.2 square kilometres (37.5 sq mi). Petaling Jaya was granted city status on 20 June 2006. Petaling Jaya is surrounded by the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur to the east, Sungai Buloh to the north, Shah Alam , the capital of Selangor and Subang Jaya to the west and Bandar Kinrara to the south.
Jalan Othman UiTM Satellite Campus is one of the branches of Universiti Teknologi MARA located in the state of Selangor Darul Ehsan. The campus in Petaling Jaya is the oldest UiTM campus. In fact, the campus is the home of the establishment of the RIDA Training Hall in 1956. It now houses Art and Design Courses for Masters and Doctorate levels.
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM; English: MARA University of Technology) is a public university in Malaysia based primarily in Shah Alam. Established in 1956 as RIDA (Rural & Industrial Development Authority) Training Centre (Malay: Dewan Latehan RIDA), it opened its doors to some 50 students with a focus to help the rural Malays. Since that time it has grown into the largest higher education institution in Malaysia by physical infrastructure, staff·organization (academic and non-academic) and student enrollment.
